Discord Channel for Wikians
I think most of you already know at this point that I made an unofficial Discord channel for people from the wiki the other day. I figured I'd make a public blog about it at some point, and what better day to do that than the seven-year anniversary of the wiki's founding? Any wikians who aren't already on the channel but want to join, just comment here, message me on my talk page, or get ahold of me any other way you can and I'll give you an invite link. Thanks.
Welp...
I haven't exactly kept it a secret how trashy my computer is these past few years, but I think its days (and therefore my days on here) are numbered. I just got my first blue screen. I do have another computer, but that has problems of its own. If this one stops working entirely I guess I won't have a choice but to switch over, but they're both very bad and I don't know how often I'll be able to get on after this. Just wanted to make sure everybody knew.
The 9th Brethren Court and Land
As I promised in the comments of the Brethren Court page last night, today I will make an announcement that will SHOCK THE WORLD™. So, uh, here it is:
Since the Empire of Russia's and the Kalmar Monarchy of Iceland's leaders are Pirate Lords in the Brethren Court, they have pledged to join the Brethren Court's guild. What does this mean, exactly? Well, it means that their respective countries will now be joining the Brethren Court's cause. They will remain independent but as the map somewhere below will show, they will essentially share a military with the Court.
However, this isn't exactly the entire announcement. Not long ago, I talked with Jack Bluehawk and got him to agree to give the Brethren Court control of Haiti. Here's the proof:

These past few weeks around chat you may have heard rumors about the existence of a 9th Brethren Court, whose existence is unconfirmed and is not currently being planned at all. Well, I'm here to say that the existence of the 9th Brethren Court IS confirmed, and that it's being planned right now!
We've been formulating a new pirate code, and we just recently held a Pirate King vote (which I won). Due to the new rules we made, the King appoints a Pirate Prince and a Keeper of the Code now. I've made my appointments and gotten everything ready for the Court's existence, and now…

In a nutshell, the Conqueror League failed because people couldn't force themselves to be interested in playing Conqueror for at least a few hours every single Saturday night. People began to lose interest and the league, while it was initially very momentous, quickly petered out.
