Chapter 1: A Lonely Living[]

parents. I was wondering around Port Royal when I was 19. All I had was a small home and a birthday card. It said: "David, Happy 10th birthday. We hope you are having a good time at Whitwhale Island. Enjoy this gift. From mom, dad, and Andrew." I don't know what the gift was, but it might have been this harmonica. All I do all day is sit on a pile of boxes listening to people in Tortuga chatter away with friends and family while I play my harmonica. My life was dull, lonely, and boring. Until one day...

Chapter 2: Maria[]

I was on my box, playing my harmonica, listening to those chatterboxes talk. I was just about to go home when I saw a girl. She was probably 13 or 14. She was in the water by a corner of the dock. It was a holiday today. I don't know which one, but fireworks were being lit up. At first i thought she was just a average person in Tortuga swimming with friends for a holiday party. Then I noticed the curious look in her face as she watched the men light the fire works. She must have noticed I was watching her because she looked over at me for a second with a nervous face. She swam away slowly. I jumped when i heard the fireworks explode. The girl looked like she was about to have a heart attack. She looked at me quickly when i put a hand on her shoulder and said, "They are just fireworks."

"Oh, okay," she said, smiling a bit.

"I'm David," I said. What's your name?"

"Im Maria"

Chapter 3: Something Very Fishy[]

Maria was relaxed, until a crowd of people crowded around her. She was nervous.

"Who are ye? I never seen you before," they said

Maria looked like she would have a panic attack.

"I needa go," she said. "Bye."

"Bye," I said back.

She dove into the water quickly. It may have been my imagination, but I think I saw a blue fin pop out of the water after her. Nobody said a thing about it, so maybe I was imagining, or maybe I wasn't...
