Attempted takeover of the Wiki - Captain Matthew O'Malley attempted to takeover the wiki when he was accidentally promoted to Bureaucrat, but his efforts were stopped by Batorhos when he restored power to the admins. Other notable people in this effort against the takeover were, in no particular order, John Breasly, Jzfredskins, Katbluedog, Stpehen and Jack Daggermenace.

Notable Events:

Pirates Forumsends partnership with the wiki - On April 2nd, 2016, longtime partner and fellow Pirates Online site abruptly ended it's relationship with the Gamers Fanon Wiki. Site owner and administrator Davy Darkrage cited the wiki's immaturity and offensive content as the reason for the partnership being broken. This event lead to the chat strike system being brought back, chat rule modifications and banned swearing on roleplay blogs.
Attempted demotion of G-man. - On May 4th, 2016, Captain Ned Edgewalker wrote a request to demote Wiki President G-man from his position. It was the tenth request to demote G-man from an Administrative position in the four years he had been an admin. The vote passed the Seven Seas Court for the first time in years, sending the request off to community vote. The vote was supported by most active users, but was denied because many inactive users came back to the wiki simply to oppose the vote. This laid the groundwork to start the 14th Generation. Many users were upset that the vote had been rejected due to the fact that inactive users could come from seemingly out of nowhere to participate in important votes. This resulted in the Voter Eligibility Rules. Following the passing of this new rule, G-man himself held a second demotion vote, which ended in a tie. Following the second vote, although it's debateable that either vote had anything to do with it, there was an influx of new users that arrived on the wiki due to the increased activity and talk of the wiki on afilliate wikis, such as POR Britian.
