Commander William Joseph O' Reilly I, MBE, is a Commander in the Royal Navy, in command of the Gallant, a sloop of war composed of 18 cannons. Joining the navy in early 1743, as a Midshipman, he was quickly given a commission and command of the Gallant through his connection to Johnathan O' Reilly.
