It is still ironic that the man I fought so hard to get rid of is now the best one suitable for the job. Best of luck to ya Nults, and thanks for your service.
Copypasted from my SSC post:
"HAHAHAHA isn't it funny how time changes? The very man who did all he could to demote Nults is now spearheading the motion to re-promote him. Trivia: I also started his very first promo request back in '12-13.
Regardless, Wag has made a point of wanting Nults on the team, and after speaking with him, he is up for the job. Despite past issues with anger, I believe the pro's now outweigh the very few con's with having Nults as a chat mod. He is responsible, spends plenty of time here, and has shown a newfound appreciation of enforcing our rules. Additionally…

Sometime in the near future I may or may not resign power to the Vice President who has practically been begging for my spot since his attempted revolution that was CRUSHED by the loyal people in May of this year, but now he's proven himself worthy. His time as temporary admin has seen no clear issue despite his constant disobedience and ignorance of executive ruling, of which I have become reluctant to give him but have weighed in favor of the pros rather than the cons. This is the man for the job of Vice President. Lets make it official!
- above may or may not be historically accurate or exaggerated*
I have full faith in Wag to be a great admin. Copypasted from my SSC post:
"I am seeking to promote our Vice President to permanent adminship. P…

Welcome to yet another community vote! With the untimely disappearance of G-man, the time has come for the wiki to decide whether it will bravely do something or bravely do nothing. With the spiritual support of the community, the proposal to promote Mall to Bur in G's absence passed with flying colors; now the greater community can not only pledge their spiritual support, but their secular support!
From the SSC:
"This has been a turbulent week. With the unfortuante development that several of the president's accounts have been compromised and the apparent news that he will still be sparsely active for possibly the new few weeks, I believe it's paramount we promote at least one Bur in his stead. As such, there's no better and more obvious ch…

The title says it all! Per executive appointment, our two mods will be admins until further notice.

Yes I know, it's a shock to all of us. But technically he did violate the ISP and has elected to hold this vote. I repeat, G-man. has elected to hold a community vote for his promotion. This vote is being started before the passing of the soon-to-be passed ISP vote to be protected by the ex-post-facto rule. After this day, all votes like this will resume as SSC votes. But for now, G-man is special.
If promoted, he will resume his administrative powers both on the wiki and in chat. This includes promotion to adminstrator, chat moderator, and rollback (and the others that don't mean anything).

2. Nults McKagan
4. Captain Ned Edgewalker
5. Johnny Goldtimbers
1. Jeremiah Garland…

Allow me to preface this community vote by saying that it's times like these where I recognize the true strength of the wiki: unity. Earlier today, we were faced with an interesting, new problem, and it seemed as if everyone had a different idea for how to solve it. In a matter of hours, our "staff" reached common ground and were able to agree fully on the amendment to this objectively outdated and archaic rule that desperately needed to be revisited. Moreover, however, I very much appreciated the profound levels of user cooperation associated with the passing of the amendment; when the staff and common users reach an understanding, we're capable of more than we think. Without futher ado, I ask you to exercise your "right" to make your vo…

Welp, he was actually promoted yesterday by a power user who is on vacation and cannot be named but may or may not be the only one above me and the only one who can appoint temporary admins. Regardless, because I favor TRANSPARENCY and FAIR GOVERNMENT, I felt the need to notify you of Goldtimbers' absolutely necessary temporary promotion. I welcome the opportunity for mods to experience adminship... preparing the next generation! He will retain said powers until our President's return, later in the week.

This is just a reminder of a lesser known rule we have regarding chat and the wiki as a whole. As our Policy states, "Do not link other non-affiliated wikis or their chats without explicit moderator permission." This means that aside from our two current affiliates (Video Game Fanon and POR Britain), if you want to link another wiki in chat, make sure to ask permission from either a chat moderator or an administrator; they can be identified by the star(s) beside their name. Accidentally linking a wiki without permission once is fine, but repeat offenses may warrant a kick or strike.

As we continue to reform ourselves following the recent boom in activity and "cleaning up" the wiki, the next item to address is our over-usage of the word "gay/gai/ghey/etc" in a derogatory fashion. Everyone is guilty, so nobody is. The admins will have to work to find a line between who's breaking the rules and who isn't, but this isn't the first time. Our decisions are rarely wrong ;).
From Nults's SSC post: "This has been an issue for a while now. In light of "kys", "retarded", "autistic", etc. being banned, I think it's time we take the next step forward and ban "gay" and all variations (gai, ghey, etc.) from being used as insults. Even in a joking manner (ex: "r u gai?"), they shouldn't be used. "Gay" should only be used when explicit…

From Al's SSC post:
"It is clear to me that things will be re-requested quickly when a few qualifiers change or the situation changes. Regardless, some may try to propose the same thing rather too quickly and as a result thrust unnecessary voting drama through the same measure all over again. There is plenty of instances that can be drawn as examples, but to keep this request simple I ask that the following be put into motion:
- A previously failed SSC Request/Community Vote may not be considered for a timeframe of 3 Months. (This could be modified by the Administration to better fit what they feel is appropriate)
I feel strongly that this rule will keep the peace and furthermore, reign in unnecessary conflict much like the purpose of cooldown…
