POTCO History (Game w/ Roleplay Aspects)
Basil Brawlmonk was born sometime in 1660 in Bucharest Romania. The records are not entirely clear whether it was in August or in September. He grew up a pirate, however due to some fateful run-ins, he became involved in politics on an international stage. He started the guild "SPARTANS" and gained a sizeable following. He was recruited into the British Empire as a 4th sealord sometime in the earlier 1700's, however due to differences in thought process, Basil ended up leaving and taking his "SPARTANS" show on the road. At some point, he came across the King of Romania, Albert Spark and was installed as the overlord of his armies. Eventually, Basil ran for prime minister of Romania and won. It was from there Basil built Romania, a country everyone thought was a joke for the most part into a legitimate player on the board. SPARTANS ran strong for a while and had involvement in the 2nd installment of the Paradoxian wars. Basil however was ambitious and wanted to make SPARTANS big not just in roleplay, but in all of POTCO, and he did for a time. SPARTANS was a constant presence on the POTCO leaderboards every day for a solid span of 6 months. Eventually though, Basil and the SPARTANS guild was killed off by Captain Leon during his infamous 2011-2012 account destroying spree. Basil recovered however and became involved in "TSUNAMI" and used his somewhat considerable influence at the time to rebuild SPARTANS under the banner of TSUNAMI. He did so for a time, however due to the relative inactivity of JohnnyDaPirate in TSUNAMI, he left. Eventually, he was able to coax Robert Seasteel into handing him the reigns of "United Allies", which became a pet project for Basil. Basil took on United Allies, due to the name recongition of the guild. He wouldn't have to start completely from scratch. He was able to recruit old members of United Allies that defected before Basil took over such as Eric Machawk, William Shoresmythe, and Trader of the Undead. For a time, United Allies gained some success, however it wasn't built to last. Basils heart just wasn't in it anymore. His Co-GM (Charles Warmonk) had left for Dark Archive beginning his quest of stepping out of Basils shadow and building his own legacy. Charles gained considerable success in Dark Archive, even becoming an Officer. Charles was able to coax Basil into joining Dark Archive, however it wasn't a good fit for Basil and he left. Basil soon after that was terminated and his run was over.
