Ariadne's String is an item of navigation.
Ariadne's String was invented by Daedalus on the island of Crete. He granted it to King Minos' daughter, Ariadne. The string was used by the hero Theseus to conquer the Minotaur. It was left it the Labyrinth for several years, until Minos retrieved it. Daedalus wanted it back, and stole it from Minos as he fled to the safety of King Cocalus. It has not been seen since. It is rumored Daedalus made copies.
